- BULSHIT!!!
- Total and utter bulshit. The power supply system in the USA is at best
- 3rd world standard. I havent seen a single american building that would
- pass a british electrical safety inspection
-
- Your grid supply system is primative and under powered. The cable are
- overloaded and most of your valuable current goes in heating the cables.

-
- Sorry but it is better, safer and more efficient.
-
- Basic lesson.
- Power loss = resistance (of cables etc) x Current
- 220 v gives more watts/amp than 110v therefore our current consuption is
- half yours so our power losses are half yours. Our fuse ratings can be
- lower so the safty is higher.
-
- We started with all sorts of different voltage/frequecy systems in
- britain, when we standardised we went for 220/240 as the best compromise
- of voltage/current

-
- I would rather have a car that did more than 15mpg and had suspension
- that let you know whats going on instead of wallowing about like a fart
- in a hurricane. At least I can drive my car at 90mph and still feel
- safe.
